What is 'luxury home exchange'?

How do I apply for membership?

Simply fill out an application for membership, pay the membership fee, and once your property is accepted, begin contacting members for your next vacation. APPLY NOW.

Do you verify the properties?

Exclusive Exchanges is an online portal through which thousands of similarly-situated luxury homeowners can 'meet' to discuss the option of trading or swapping their luxury homes for a vacation. Though we provide the connection, it is left to the individual members to conduct due diligence to ensure successful exchanges. Asking for and verifying references, speaking with potential exchange partners, and having a written agreement which spells out the particular conditions of the exchange are just some of the ways that members can ensure successful vacation home exchanges.

Can I list my property as a rental only?

No. In an effort to ensure that our luxury home exchange remains first and foremost a place where luxury homeowners can search for an exchange, we do not allow rental only properties. Members may offer their homes as available for Exchange, or, Exchange and Rental.

Can I list my property as available for sale on my listing?

We would be happy to help our members by allowing them to list their luxury property for sale to a target market of high net worth travelers, as long as they are open to the possibility of exchanging their property as well.

What are your referral rewards?

If you refer a friend and they list with Exclusive Exchanges as a paying member, you will receive half price off your next annual membership fee.

Is Exclusive Exchanges liable?

Exclusive Exchanges is a luxury home exchange website which allows members to contact each other to arrange an exchange or rental. Exclusive Exchanges is not involved in any way in the actual transaction, and has no control over the truth or accuracy of the listings, nor do we make any representation as to the ability of members to meet their obligations. By becoming a member of Exclusive Exchanges luxury home exchange, you agree that you bear all responsibility for making and effectuating the arrangements, and for any outcome thereof.

Do you offer any guarantees?

Though we cannot promise that you will successfully set up an exchange, we certainly want you to! Therefore, if you have made reasonable efforts, but were still unable to secure a home exchange, we will be glad to offer a second year of membership free of charge.

When can I contact other members? Will they receive my personal email address?

You may begin contacting other members immediately. Members will communicate through our secure database and personal emails will not be disclosed unless the members wish to do so.

Is home exchanging safe?

In the many years that home exchanging has been around, there have been very few reports of theft or vandalism. That being said, however, there is a certain element of uncertainty when doing a home exchange. It is advisable to communicate frequently with your prospective exchange partner, and ask for references if possible. For those who regularly rent out their luxury properties, home exchanging is a safer alternative because you actually 'get to know' your exchange partners a little.

Do my auto and homeowner's insurance policies cover exchangers using my car and home?

You should check with your insurance provider for specifics.  In the U.S., most auto insurance policies cover other drivers of your vehicle.

Do you recommend that we use a contract or ask for a security deposit?

It is up to the individual members to determine what measures to take that will make them feel comfortable in the exchange. It is a good idea to have some sort of written document clearly spelling out the conditions and contingencies of the exchange, so that expectations can be more easily met.

Should I respond to all inquiries for exchange?

We request that members take a minute to reply to other member's inquiries, even if the response is simply a 'no thanks'. In this way, members know that their exchange offers are being received and considered by each other.

What is your privacy policy?

Exclusive Exchanges luxury home exchange does not disclose names, street addresses, or email addresses to members or the public. All correspondence between members goes through our SSL secured website.  Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
